Interview with Ima Somers Aug 15,2007

Have you ever wondered what it is like to work in Customer Service? How about International CS? Soffrina, SOE's French Community Representative, recently sat down and talked with Ima Somers, International Customer Service Manager for SOE, to learn a bit about the work life in CS, and also a bit about Ima.
Tell us a bit about yourself, how long have you been with SOE and what position do you hold? Hello everyone! My name is Ima Somers and I am the International Customer Service Manager for SOE. I am originally from The Netherlands and moved to the United States 10 years ago. I came in contact with SOE 8 years ago as an EverQuest player who decided to dedicate her spare time to become a guide.After guiding for 3 years I moved to San Diego and applied to become a GM. I was an EverQuest GM for 7 months and became a SWG supervisor. After launching SWG I joined the International team as a liaison. After 6 months I became the manager.My main duties are to manage the French, German and Japanese customer service teams on a day-to-day basis. I also serve as the Customer Service Liaison between companies who are licensed to bring SOE's products to their local markets. This means I train and communicate with, for example with Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Russian companies regarding our CS policies and procedures.
